Fearless How do we deal with fear? Fear of the unknown, fear of what’s next, fear of impending doom & gloom as we hear about in the media. How in the world to we prepare ourselves to outwit and outlast our daily bouts of fear? One word- FAITH. Max Lucado takes on fear and its place in our lives, and most importantly shows us how we can take that fear and free ourselves from it.

As a fan of Max Lucados vast selection of books that always seem to hit the mark, his new book “Fearless” comes at a time when most people are more fearful than at any time in recent history. With humor and an easy to read writing style Max makes it simple- just keep the faith and let go. The lesson of the book is that in order to combat and overcome fear you have to let it go- give it to the loving Lord and He will take care of you. Easier said than done, but with each chapter discussing the things we most fear and bringing it to a level that just about anyone can not only understand, but also incorporate into their daily life Max Lucado gives us all something that we need- not fear but hope and faith.

Each chapter begins with a Bible verse- my favorite being this: I am leaving you with a gift- peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid. – John 14:27 NLT

Reading this book is like taking a deep breath and starting over- letting it go and starting fresh with the knowledge that God is in charge and that a little bit of faith goes a long way.
